wanted to go 66 with that reverse, but the obverse field might be too chatty? unless that's all on the holder ... went with a pcgs 65 here
I went with 64 on this one, but I do worry about the reverse as it looks like it might have been cleaned with something that is abrasive.
66 here. That scratch is raised and in the die. It is called die polish and does not hurt the grade IMO.
I don't know man. I think a G-6 seems a bit generous. In all seriousness, I think it's worth clarifying that you mean MS-66 haha
Notice how the lines don't go through the raised areas or devises , since these are incused into the dies the person polishing them just polishes the fields . These marks are also raised on the coin , if they were scratches they'd go over the devices and be incused on the coin . 66 .
Another example of die polish lines (die scratches). Again, they do not count for grading and the lines are very hard to see in hand . I have no idea why this picture looks so speckled (for the lack of a better term). The coin in hand has real nice luster and nearly mark free. The only real noticeable imperfection is that spot between the wheat stems. In hand, it is not only a 66 but a nice 66.
Our 2 leaders are in danger of dropping out due to their lack of scores. Has anyone heard from either? Otherwise, standings remained pretty much as they were. Columns are rank, name, average, and number of guesses. I PMed Irish2Ice earlier today , but haven't heard back from him , I'd hate to move up by default and would love to see them come back .
