Yesterday, Mark announced that he would be closing out his online store and heading for Dallas, Texas to join the Heritage team. Mark is a member on numerous forums, including here, and his knowledge and experience will be greatly missed. Good luck to you in all your endeavors, Mark! Chris
That's awesome! I had the opportunity to meet Mark once and he is a really nice guy and a darn fine grader, too! LOL
I had a chance meeting with this gentleman (although I didn't know it at the time) at Coin Fest back in 2009 (?). I believe he was helping out that 'Green Bean' fellow at the show, as Albanese was just starting up his program. They were accepting free submissions and I had brought along a Two Cent piece that I had bought from Arizona Jack (anyone remember him? Gosh I miss him on these forums). Anyway, the 2 center came back with a 'green bean' designation and I remarked (at the time in a thread devoted to this particular show) that it had achieved such. Mark chimed in on the thread and said that he remembered my coin. Best of luck in your latest endeavor dear fellow........
I am not sure why you think he will quit posting. Several Heritage employees post here including at least 2 of our moderators. Aside from that, nice guy I wish him well.
Best of luck Mark. Maybe a regular job might actuallg give him more time to post here. Running a business is a time consuming endeavor.
I also hope Mark's new job goes well. And as has been said, he as is welcome to post here as he ever was. That's purely up to him.
Yeah, I like the business model. I was kind of bummed when I learn Heritage was a private firm, unable to be invested in.
Mark was a grader at NGC for 6-7 years before starting his business, Mark Feld Rare Coins. You will often see a photo of him in Charmy's show reports. I'm not sure on the chronological order, but this is his second stint at Heritage. Chris
Third stint it looks like. Taken from his about me page on his website: Congrats to Mark, I am happy for him.
