I have done many a thing to keep people out of my personal space or off the coin tray I was looking at, making your self bigger, spreading your arms, out on either side of the tray works, a firm or rude comment, but the one that always works is crowding them back and getting right in their face (less than 6 inches) and growling, mind you I am 6'2" and 230 lbs, but that kind of physical intimidation will back a rude person down very quickly.
It is just a shop maybe the size of a Walgreens shop, maybe smaller. Different booths all over the place and the people that have booths rotate working the register. Theres another in town that's similar but has owners. He tried to pull one over on me by pulling out the red book and asking vf prices for problem key dates in the early 1890s Morgan Series. The coins were maybe vf and all had major problems. I haven't been back since.
Yeah, there is. I went to a gun show a couple of times, but with dudes like this around I just never went back. Stupid has no borders. I would not mind if it were only true artifacts of WWII. I never hold an object like a coin or a plate responsible for the stupidity of the culture who manufacture it. When they are selling modern stuff glorifying such past stupidity, (and maybe the seller has similar tattooed on his arms), then I am out.
How about "accidentally on purpose" standing on the old coddger's foot and staying "I am terribly sorry."
This most likely won't happen to me. I usually wear spiked wristbands and my belt has a few spikes on it too. But seriously, I'm not the kind of person to argue or speak loudly. Knowing me, I would move towards the person and gently nudge him out of the way.
Next time, bring Terry Tate along... you should not have any problems... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg5cdZ-Fnpc
