That is a great looking set! I think unc war nickels are one of the best bargains out there.

 

Funny thing Jerry. I picked so many of these out of the change as a kid (still have 'em) that I never really thought about obtaining them in mint state. It's on the 'to do' list........

 

nice set. I always like seeing the big letter mint mark on those war nickels. I personally never cared for jefferson nickels. I saw this incredible purple toned proof jefferson nickel at a Las Vegas coin show. I asked is that toning real ? he said yes. so I asked how much ? $600.00! yikes. I liked but wow that's pricey. wait....there is 1 jefferson nickel I do like the doubled eyed 1. very very cool. ? is it die doubling or is it machine doubling ???
