The correct question is, "Do you have Prince Albert in a can?" "Yes, we do!" "He's a skinny little runt, ain't he."
If you melted the Silver Eagle down (which is 1 troy ounce, or approximately 1.01 ounces), and if there are 128 ounces in a gallon, then you can fit 126.732673267 melted Silver Eagles in a 1 gallon container. But since we are talking in terms of whole Silver Eagles, the answer would be 126. Maybe next you can ask how many dimes I can fit in my ear. Magicians have been pulling them out rather frequently recently and I would like to know the total melt value in there.
Liquid ounce is not the same as weight ounces. I am thinking it would be about 666 until someone can come up with a different figure.
An ounce of liquid or an ounce of solid is still an ounce. The only thing that's different would be mass if its two different materials Unless you are referring to the difference between troy and advorois (sp)
According to this site, it would be 1,401.63 ounces........ http://www.traditionaloven.com/meta...llon-gal-of-silver-to-ounce-oz-of-silver.html Chris
One gallon of water weighs 8.35 pounds. Since we know that water expands when it is frozen, it would no longer fit into a one-gallon container. Therefore, one gallon of ice would weigh less than one gallon of water. Chris
