1964 is a special year for Kennedy halfs, lots of different dies for that year, and some of them bring " Big Money " so I would suggest, find out more about what she has, could be sms, or Heavily Accented Hair, etc !!!!!!!!!!!
Of course I didn't have that much time to appraise each coin under a glass. But would such coins be in tubes? And would a Coin Shop not have labled for more return? In my opinion the Kennedy half dollars she has might be worth $250.00 a roll. Thanks Biged
It reminds me of my grandmother, god rest her soul, she went to a trans shop to have her trans fluid changes, and the first thing they told her was there was metal shaving in her oil, and they needed to rebuild her trans, and she fell for the oldest scam in the book, report that coin shop to the better business bureau !!!!!!
While junked Doubled Dies are a possibility I seriously doubt that a coin dealer would knowingly sell a Kennedy SMS in a bulk roll. Typically, these bulk silver rolls are made up of average circulated 1964 Kennedy's. Average Circulated could be anything from XF45 to AU58. Perhaps some low MS coins are thrown in but I wouldn't be so sure on this particular transaction since she her intent was to purchase "silver", not collectible coins.
Sure, there were a lot of doubled dies for the '64, but unless they are MS63 or better, they aren't worth the price that the dealer charged. The '65-'67 SMS Kennedys were 40% silver, and the Accented Hair variety is proof only. Ed had already mentioned that these were circulated coins. Get your facts straight, Rick. Chris
Mmmm...sunfish or blue gills are one of the tastiest fish I have ever eaten, crappie are good, but bass is often too bland.
That would be on my wall in no time . We don't see many near that big in Illinois and Wisconsin . Beautiful fish Ed .
Nice bass, but we have pike and muskies! I go and visit a muskie evey year at the city dock on lake Minnetonka. Seriously, fish just comes in every summer to watch the people. He is about a 38" and won't bite a lure, (though many try of course). Just joking around Ed, it is a nice largemouth.
Not far up the road from where Ed lives is Cape Coral. We have 400 miles of canals and about 40% of them are fresh/brackish water. Bass have been taken out of them up to 12 pounds. Chris
If we get a 6lb Bass it's a monster , I'd give my eyeteeth to catch a 12 lb bass . Never went Muskie fishing , but caught some nice Northerns in Lake Geneva .
Well, now I have to put in a plug for my neck of the woods where walleye and yellow perch are at the top of the menu.
Someone check the paper.......there haven't been any tryst murders in Florida lately, have there? OK, bad joke.......
This thing has been going on for so long that something really doesn't sound right. The lady asks for help with a coin problem, help comes, but she has company and can't leave the house to try and fix a problem, help goes fishing, does catch and release, company in no hurry to leave. If you quit feeding them they may leave sooner of their own volition. Maybe you should pack up their goods, put them in the trunk, gas up their car and perhaps they may get the message. Those guests of her's have been there more that 3 days and fish is in the house. If the thread hadn't been started before 4/1 I would have been thinking of a April Fool's joke was pulled on the whole forulm. Stick a fork in it............
