The first coin is a nice looking FH. I would like to know what the LXXII refers to.

    From Forvm:

"The reverse mark LXXII refers to the a standard of 72 coins to the pound. The gold solidus and silver light miliarense were both also struck at this c. 4.5 gram standard."

Funny I just got the Rome this week. I am a bit disapointed in it though, its very rough and barely able to ID. I need AN / AQ / TR / AL / AM to complete my set. :p

That's right - I remember reading it somewhere. Just can't keep track of all the reforms. I've got a falling horseman on the way, should be here tomorrow, but it's Constantius Gallus. Nicest FH in my collection, but it's an AE2, and that design always looks better on a larger coin...

John, I have seen some pretty nice little ones, Antioch comes to mind mostly. but yeah, the larger ones still are nicer.

Hey I got rid of a real nice trajan for a lesser grade one cause I liked the portrait more, nothing wrong with lower grade stuff. I still have no regrets. :)
