You should not need our confirmation on this easy attribution. IIRC, there is now an FS# for this coin, so when you sell, it would be wise to include it.
i found a lincoln 1971 p-001 and i listed it as such on ebay. someone argued with me that i was wrong. i sold it for less to someone else for less than i wanted and that person left me a FB saying it WAS the 001 and in xf condition, so just because things appear to be simple there are those that would make it hard to be sure. especially where i have no training. i would rather ask a stupid question than chance misrepresenting an item.
:devil:Minnesota state quarter has 170+ Die Varieties found no Philly+Denver coins. but is this one of the 170+??? Looks like it could be one.But What 1??? this link has the top DV$wise.:smilehttp://doubleddie.com/179401.html
I understand your point, but with all due respect, if you're unable to identify a variety as obvious and clear as this, you probably should not be selling them. Since you've been selling your finds on ebay for some time now, how can you say that you have "no training"? Most every thread of yours is a variety question, so what do you consider all this searching and selling to be? Was this 71-P 1C the subject of a thread here? While I may be wrong, I almost remember one about said variety in the not-so-distant past, and the coin in question was DDO #1. Regardless, if you are going to sell self-attributed varieties on ebay, you are bound to deal with people who disagree. Unless you are able to say with absolute certainty that a coin is X variety, do not make the claim, and if you are sure, there is nothing you can do about someone who disagrees other than do not sell it to them. This is your business, Bryan, and while there is nothing wrong with asking for assistance with tough coins every now and then, you really need to be able to confirm the obvious ones without anyone helping you. You obviously did your homework on this coin and identified the variety, so why second guess yourself? It seems to me that you actually have more "training" than you are admitting to.
