Robec just shot this raw 1991-S Lincoln Proof for me. A few things struck me: 1.) How much detail you can see from a raw macro shot -- probably some of the best beard detail that I've seen on a modern Proof Lincoln (Modern Lincolns can be a bit mushy) and 2.) The dimples in the fields. I have seen similar dimples on Matte Proof Lincolns (1909-1916), but don't recall seeing them (this clearly at least) on a modern Proof Lincoln. In any case, Robec is a photographic master. My two favorite things about this coin are the little rainbows around the edge and the super wide rims. (I love the way the rainbow color meanders onto the rim in spots). Here are thumbnails of 6 photos at various lighting and viewing angles that Robec shot. This really gives a great perspective on how this coin looks in-hand as you roll it around under the light. The last thumbnail on the RHS is the same shot shown at full resolution above.
