Hi, Is all 1922 silver dollar finish looking like that? There are lot of very small scratches on this coin. I have couple silver dollar but finish is normaly flat (some part not...). What cause something like that on the entire coin? Maybe die polish? Thank you! CDNum
If you're referring to the diagonal lines as in the third photo, those are supposed to be the rays of the sun and are part of the design. Chris

Die polish marks would only appear on the fields, not the devices. Your coin appears to be a circulated Peace dollar that has been harshly cleaned. At least that's how it appears to me. Maybe someone else will disagree.
It was harshly cleaned--either with an abrasive polish and cloth, or mechanically. The little lines are scratches, where the surface of the coin has been worn away. I think that the OP means the little swirly lines in the close up photograph, which are evidence of a cleaning.
Post-mint polish is when the shift supervisor at the mint realizes that the freshly minted coins are about to leave the mint premises but they are not properly polished. He knows he is going to be called to the director, and he screwed up once or twice in the past... so to avoid it, he just runs to the trucks, gets in and starts polishing them manually. It doesn't happen very often, so your coin is pretty valuable.

Hi, I don't know if acid can do something like that but finish always start from center design to the rim. As you can see on this pics it seem to have a sens (center to outside) : Thank you all! CDNum
