As a few of you know, I game quite a bit, preferring games like Age of Empires (AoE), Minecraft and Civilization 4 (Civ). However, I lost AoE and Civ when my last laptop melted ... And I mean literally for some parts (Fan, some of the hard drive, parts of the motherboard) I'm also a lover of history, as shown by my posts (and my game choices ) This Game looks Awesome, and I can't wait for it to get out (Third Punic War battles > Awesome!) Video from The Creative Assembly,at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OHV628oGiU. Website at http://www.totalwar.com/en_us/rome2 I can't wait! (starts throwing $20 bills at computer, saying "Just take my money... I want to play Total War: Rome II now!") Note: Don't move this thread as it is in the correct place IMO.
Interesting, but I have never been able to get into gaming. My adult son's, especially my eldest, loves gaming. I'll have to tell him about it, but I'll bet he already knows. Thanks WC
I love total war, but my comp is only able to play the older ones without too muh trouble. Anything after Medieval 2 and it becomes a lagging nightmare if its not at the lowest settings (which I really dont want to play at). So I will have to hold out on this one until I get a better system. BTW have you seen the Battle of Teutoberg trailer?
I'm watching through the trailers right now... I'll get to it shortly The Fan clogged, and then I played Skyrim (massive game with heavy graphics and hard on a computer) for a hour. The computer turned off, and we couldn't get it fixed. So, just before we moved at the end of last school year, I destroyed the hard drives of the three computers, my laptop among them. This was 2 months later... The molten plastic was still warm, and it was clear that I melted the mention three parts of the computer Now I'm using an Alienware 18x Gaming Laptop... Great System which I got for less than a Macbook Pro
Found another great video by Gamespot (a Game Review site) Jeez this game looks good! Link from http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=EaDlihIqPws&NR=1
Looks pretty cool but I can never get into that kind of gaming. I prefer "ancient" gaming like NES, Super Nintendo, Sega and so on, lol.
Im a 90s kid, so I was able to experience that "ancient" gaming before it became, well, ancient. Ah, good times....
Too much straight-up fighting always bores me very quickly. I need missions to accomplish and puzzles to solve.
Well my least favorite type of games first person shooters. They all seem the same. Just cant get into those suckers so thats why I dont game much in todays generation. As for brawlers, who doesnt like chucking knives at hookers, throwing baddies into pits and so on. I still play streets of rage series a few times a month. My first gaming was atari 2600. Good old Pac-man & Bezerk.
Seen the commercials, doesnt look like my type either. I dont like exploring and solving puzzles. Just throw a game in and button mash. If I want to think I would goto my coins. I know God of War is popular too.
Unlike most of my Generation (it seems), I also really dislike FPS. I had a Nintendo Gameboy Advance as my first system... I got it for Christmas and it had Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 3 in it (2001 release) I wasn't in grade school at the time... and I loved the game (I still play it every few months...) I never could stomach the costs of Assassins Creed... Always found it interesting but not for me with my budget.
Stevex6 (Adam West?), LOL........ Windchild, are there elephants in the game? What a surprise for the Romans when Hannibal made an 'end around' run.
