Cashed in my nickel dumps at a local bank. Added enough to it to make it $100 so I would get a $100 bill.

I was handed a 2006 $100 Star Note...thank you! I doubt if its worth anything over face though.

Got a box of nickels to go through tonight.

Also, here's that token I found in a box of nickels a few days ago. Worth holding onto??? I tried googling "Dewey House Park"+"token" but nothing came up.

When I went to bank to dump the halves, a teller came up and said, "someone just came in with these...want some?" She showed me about 10-12 half dollars. Nothing special. I said, "No thanks". She then said, "I've already pulled some out for myself...wanna see them"? She then pulled out 10-12 more half dollars...ALL SILVER. I asked her if I could purchase them off her and she said "No way". Oh well...maybe I'll find some at another bank. Regardless, this bank is really good at letting me dump around $3000 worth of halves there a week so I'm not complaining.

 

I'm in the same boat as you one of my banks the
teller picks out what she what she wants. I didn't know this for about a week after I started using them. but I'm glad I found out when I did

I just sold a roll of them on craigslist that I've found CRH. You must be in the wrong area! Keep hunting...they'll show up when you don't want them anymore.
