Can't be certain because the image is too small, but from what I can see I would say yes. Also, just the fact that it is a 1948 makes the chances pretty high, as most 48's are FBL.
Good luck on those first 3 franklin proofs in the series. They can get a little pricey, but not uncontainable (<meant unobtainable, haha). Here's one I acquired today for $25 ^Sellers Pic^
:thumb:I been working on a nice all Deep Cameo set to but 1950-1953 in PR-67DCam cost a arm and a leg!!!! Must of my 1954-1963 set a Few pages back!! but I re-posted my1963 PR-68Cameo+1956 type 2 PR66Cameo & my 1954 Bugs Bunny!!!
Maybe 3/4 of the bell line is strong but can not see 100% in photo it could be but photo not showing it!!! Any MS-1948 Franklin is a hard 1 to find in FBL @ Reasonable price
Very nice! and a discovery piece to boot, on a Bugs Bunny no less! Yup, I'm a little jealous. On a side note, I recently sent off to ANACS and I don't care for those yellow slabs very much, still great coins !
Not a stupid question at all and I can only use what I've been able to gather from just picking things up along the way myself - never read up on it much. Anyway, i think it means this is the first piece with whatever particular attribute the slab is saying. So I guess he's the one who found the 1959 Bugs Bunny variety, at least that's what I'm assuming.
"New Discovery" Maybe 1959 Franklin Bugs Bunny??? I know that 1953-1956 P-D+S have been found with the Bugs Bunny Die Error. I have a 1954-P one myself. But I am not an Expert just old school US+World coin collector
Those would make sense... I wonder if that only applies to that particular TPG, or if it's hobby-wide? Interesting! Congrats, Toaster!
I check ALL my Frankins for the Bugs Bunny variety, I feel like its something that could easily span almost all years of production. Definitely an interesting variety and one of my favorites. I probably have 4-55 Bugs Bunnys and a 54 also.
Here are a few I found roll hunting I got these a while back and not from roll hunting, I have only found 1 Franky roll hunting and he is chocolate brown in color.
:thumb:I think your right the whole series could have a Bugs Bunny coin as its just a die area that breaks off.I think J Q Bowers has that in a a book or John Wexler Coin World.my 1954 I found myself anyway Pcgs did not. If I would have $$ payed them for details maybe they would have noted it.
