yes, at least in CT, you need insurance to register a vehicle. One can certainly hold a valid D/L without owning a car or having automobile insurance. It is quite reasonable for say a bus driver in NYC to not own a personal car, therefore no insurance, but of course the D/L with the necessary endorsements.
Apparently so. I know I didn't dream it. I distinctly remember Tim telling us he does not need a license because his 20-year-old car is not running.
That's correct. There was a problem getting it from the person he bought it from. Another piece of the big C.
so he just let it expire then ? that would be stupid because you probably have to pay huge fees to get it back in comparison to regular renewal fees....as if having a D/L isn't a good thing for employment possibilities. Cheese and Rice, Defecto...there are ways to earn 25k a year without working your (__*__) off. You could probably deliver auto parts for $10 hr using a company truck for Autozone or similar, not great but 20k a year for an easy job. Timmy seems to destroy any opportunity. Buying coins and selling/ pawning them soon after is a losing deal. Boy, you need a bankroll, like $10,000 minimum. That ain't much at all, wouldn't buy you but a nice used car. Y'all need a cash reserve of way more than $75
Why do you folks feel the need to rehash Detecto's life whenever he posts one of his goofy threads? I can't believe that this particular thread has grown to 12 pages of which, most of it is about Detecto and no necessarily his "Pawn Shop Experience"! But now, here I am respondeing to this insanity! I do believe I've lost my way....................
I don't watch soap operas very often, but when I do, I tune in to the big CT -- no commercials, plenty of characters, and lots of hand-wringing.
Honestly, I checked a few out and he seems like he's a decent person that has good posts. I'm a neutral observer here. There's 10 pages with posts by the same 5-6 people just ripping on this guy. Personally, I don't care whether he makes a living or not or how he acquires his coins. Again, I am a newbie to this forum and from what I see it has a bunch of members who like to hate contributing to it.
From what I gather, Detecto's life is like a very bad car accident? And when you pass by, no matter how bad it is, you still feel the need to stare?! It sounds like this guy (tim?) is a total car wreck? Am I close? But also only 21 years old so there is still hope for him?
I suppose that is so, but there must be fine print in all policies with exclusions for all kinds of weird circumstances, If I were blind and a car owner, I certainly would be excluded from driving.
Since he seems to believe it a reality, maybe that’s the answer: if Timmy can find a morally corrupt and greedy enough attorney, maybe he can start suing his persecutors for “discriminating” against him. Considering the amount this poor boy receives, surely there will be many, many targets, and even if he can win only on a small percentage (since most will be thrown out - more persecution) this may allow for him to live out his dream of money for nothing. Depending on the payouts, maybe he could become his own "angel investor" and to the benefit of us all, he would then have the ability to "propel the world 1000 years into the future". Sure sounds like a win-win to me. You're right. We are all just horrible people picking on this poor innocent boy who has done absolutely nothing to bring it upon himself. Honestly, check out the thread below. The links in post #34 will show you how cruel and unfair we despicable "haters" are, and of course, how innocent our friend Tim truly is. http://www.cointalk.com/t209516-3/
Coincidentally there is this post: http://www.cointalk.com/t197508/ Kind of ironic given the current thread.
NY is the same way. You have to prove you have liability coverage at the very least. MI; however, you can register a MV without proof of insurance, but you are required within a certain amount of time after registering a MV to obtain liability coverage.
