I have to sell some coins at the coin shop today for cash. I have a few common Morgans and an 1877 trade dollar. Nothing special. I've never sold a trade dollar before. I'm pretty sure it's real. Could someone please give me a ballpark figure what a coin shop would give me for the trade dollar compared to the Morgans? I'm sure I'll be low balled, but I don't want to get burned too much. I need some quick cash to fix my car. Thanks.

Sell the Trade dollar here, you will get much better money for it.

The price you can expect is dependent on a few things, what condition is it, and what is the grade, but trades will always have a premium over what you will get for common Morgans.

If I had time I'd sell it here, but I need my car fixed.

Sorry to hear of the troubles. My car got sideswiped not to long age, just your friendly hit and run driver.

As for the Trade dollar, you can expect about $60 in G-4 all the way to about $2500 in MS-64. Quite a span.
