this means how much money have you spent on coins in your entire life so far? including all of the coins that you have ever purchased and all of the coin supplies, all of the shipping, all of the grading service fees, ect.

kinda a big gap there from 10k to 100k. I'm in the $30-40,000 range but have sold/traded a bunch to bullion.

I voted for $1,000, but my actual figure it $2,500. I can't believe I have spent that much!!!

    Selecting 10K just seemed wrong.

I have spent more than double what I paid for my first house, but the profit of one set of coins bought my second house.

Being in business to buy and sell coins my number is pretty high. Last year I spent $4.7 million on coins and bullion. I have spent about $30 million on coins since going into business. But like I said... It's my job.

You win. But I always like when honest dealers do well.

Does "ect" include cost of airline tickets, lodging, and meals for out of town coin shows? That can add up over the years. What about paper currency besides coins? I treat that as a separate collection along with a separate collection of exonumia. I'll include dues, memberships, reading and reference materials, but the others could exceed what the coin collection is worth; especially with paper currency. One way it would add up to strong, middle five figures, the other it would exceed six figures. In my mind, that's a big difference.

10k is probably about right for me...but most of that is in the last year and a half when I became more serious in the hobby.

    Poll is pretty flawed.

    Where would you answer $20-30k?

I spend only what I make online, excluding few rare purchases in local shop. I would very much like to know the exact number, but I`d say definitely more than $1000 and less than $10000.

~10k, but most of that was buying and selling silver (payed for all of my games, systems, along with most of my current collection)...

Prolly around $1000 in my collection :D

As Chris said, why does this mattered? I will say however, as someone who really enjoys it, I havent spend as much as I've liked. Being in my 20s though I have plenty of time to do so.
