He really should have worked on the Pawn Shop couple about how he is a "hobby ambassador" and could be their resident "coin expert".

One problem with that suggestion - you need a driver's license to drive a taxi.

Depends on the company, some have employee owned vehicles.

Meanwhile, after the whole diet debacle from last fall when the lbs just melted off Detecto I thought of another possible career path for him:

He'll have to work on his high pitched voice, shoot up lots of caffeine and grow a 'fro - but don't laugh this guy is worth a lot of money...

On to 11 pages we go. Detecto has created 'As His World Turns'. Geez, I can't wait for the next new installment.

Hobo, are you and I the only ones that remember Tim telling us that he does not have a drivers license?

One word. Just one word. Rickshaw.

First, change your name to Rick Shaw. Get a funny hat.

Rick Shaw's rickshaw. "We're pullin' for you!" Trendy!

I'm a forum newbie and don't know Detecto or his antics from a hole in the ground but if the dude is only 20 (as stated in a few earlier posts) then why is everyone on his case? I mean he pawned off a few coins to get some money to pay a bill. So what? It's probably better than paying the bill late and shows more responsibility too. And we're not talking a lot of money here so, worse case scenario, he loses his stuff. So what? Lesson learned for a young person. All I know is what I read in his first post and then 10 pages of belittling and putting him down. If that's the worst mistake he made as a 20 year old then perhaps he will be fine.

Click on his name and then look for "Started Posts". You doing that it much easier (and that's not easy) than anyone here trying to explain.

I remember that too. But I have seen his car registration online from April 2011 - so he must have had a driver's license at that time. He did claim this last fall that one of the impediments to his finding gainful employment was the lack of a valid driver's license.

The problem is that no lesson would be learned. If the coins were lost it would quickly become another conspiracy against him; this young man is blameless no matter the situation. As has already been suggested, take a look at his past started threads and then tell us if you think people here are simply "belittling and putting him down". Cause and effect, sir.

Suspended if I remember it right.

I don't think having a valid drivers license is a prerequisite for the registration of a motor vehicle.

Obviously some kind of government conspiracy to keep him from driving, and by extension, keep him from obtaining gainful employment.

It is because no insurance company in their right mind will insure the vehicle in your name without a valid license, and most states require proof of insurance to register a motor vehicle.

    why suspended ?

DWI or points for speeding, etc ?

or just not having $50 or whatever to pay the renewal fee ?
