I just now bought this off Ebay - SLOVENIA 3 EURO COIN 2008 it's for the "coins with stars" topical/theme collection I have. an interesting affordable star coin ($9.00 dollars) I have been wanting for awhile now. interesting take on the star.

Found a few nice little surprises over the weekend.

Moscow Metro token. Not sure of the date, but based on Google Images it seems to be one of the more common of Moscow Metro tokens. 25 or 26mm diameter, 5.3 grams:


I thought this was a blank nickel planchet at first, but now I think it's a 1907-1914 Colombia 5 pesos. 21mm diameter, 3.5 grams:



And this stunning 1947 Panama medio Balboa. Looks like some die cracks on the reverse. Anyone willing to give it a grade? 30.6mm diameter, 12.5 grams, .900 silver:

 

Back to our regular scheduled program! a 1961 and 1962 France 5 francs. 29mm diameter, 12 grams, .835 silver. One of my favorite designs ever. These two have seen better days, though:
