so i joined my towns (ludington michigan) coin club. its pretty cool they host there own coin shows in casinos ect.

my favirote part is the member auction. This week i won a littleton mercury dime holder book for 5 bucks. one peso for 3 bucks (.010 silver)

but my favirote thing off all was the unc role of 1959d pennies for $1 they are the best unc pennies ive ever seen. i have a few questions on these

when going threw this roll should i be looking for anything special and how do i find the best grade one

if i wanted to sell a couple what could i get singualy or is it best to keep the whole roll

i know these arent realy special but i like them

2013 red book says ms65 = 55 cents but im seeing them slabed for around $30 and then i see this crazy one im thinking this is way to high and no one is going to buy it but im watching anyways http://www.ebay.com/itm/200330535905?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

...but it would cost you a good chunk of $30 per coin just to have some graded.

According to the 5th Edition of the CPG, there is an RPM for the 59-D that is triple-punched with one underlying mintmark to the east and one to the west. It also suggests that it is worth about $10 in MS63 and $20 in MS65.

wasent thinking about grading them all just maybe the best one and thats a low chance i just want the best one in my folder and the others in a tube. does this mean u can see two ds

also forgot to mention most of these still have a very strong red tent unlike some of the single unc penniies i have that were copper

You may be better off leaving the roll intact to preserve them if they are still mint red. The luster will change in a real hurry in a folder, so putting the nicest one in there may not be a good idea either.

It means that you can see two D's under the primary mintmark.

By the way, if they are all "red" then you may want to be very careful how you handle them. Copper is sooooooo reactive to skin oils, humidity, etc. You might want to wear cotton gloves, too.

well now im confused my issue of coinworld says $700 for ms 67r and ms65r for 7.00 why such a huge difference i figure the r stands for r but what does ms63rb stand for and how would i tell if one of mine was ms67

The MS-67 reds are condition rarities and command a high price. But like I say, they are rare. Find your best one and post some nice images.

Don't go by the CW price guide. It's vastly inflated to benefit their advertisers. For example, Numismedia lists it at $200 for MS67RD.

The reason there is such a big difference between (NGC) MS65 & MS67 is because of the 100 that have been graded MS67RD plus those that are graded MS66RD represent about 78% in all grades.
