This piece was issued while Nova Scotia was a colony of Britain, four years prior to being Canada. It is thought to be one of the most beautiful coins issued in North America. The Mayflower on it's reverse is what captures the attention. I have the Penny and Half Penny issue. They are the same in appearance except for size.
I agree with you Salty, those are among some of the more "pretty" designs in North American coinage. I have a few myself.
Blazing Red 1976 Double 6 Canadian cent Here's some of the known errors for this year: Cocoon, Filling in front of the Queen, Double 6, and Double Queen's back ! Also, doubling on the Reverse, and Obverse too
Looks good Derick, you should look closely at the date to see if you have the doubled 888 variety. Overall nice coin, looks like VF-ish.
Thanx. I have read about the doubled 888 variety, but my 50 mm macro just cannot get that resolution. I cannot see clear doubling just by eye
Blazing Red 1975 Double 975 Canadian cent I'm getting lazy on writing, so I used " Arrows " to show the " Doubling " enjoy the photos
These are not new to my collection but I forgot I had them and wanted to post them. Paddy The Summer Moon Mask
