Is that a CRW from a bank? I think I would've taken that one back, wouldn't want them near anything I keep for fear their disease would spread. LOL
I have seen worse, I have gotten detectorist's diggings in zincolns in CWR from the bank. Unfortunately most of the coins ended up in the dustbin.
Penny's have to be the Most Abused Coin on the Planet, I did a box over the weekend and Man these things were a mess.
holy cow those are ugly! i think my worst would have to be 7 rolls of halves I got at wal-mart once. got skunked on em but they had roach feces everywhere and the wrappers were eaten through. they were disgusting.
I second that. I find and pick them up all over the parking lot, driveway, etc. All has to do with them being for all intents and purposes worthless to most people. Their loss, my gain, because over time, the bucket gets fuller and fuller to where I have a full 5 gallon bucket full. Worth about...well I'm not gonna say because my first contest I'm posting will have to do with the amount inside.
Sorry for bumping this. I got a penny roll the other day, and literally every penny was blackened, coated with dirt, literally sliced in half, and coated in something that felt like honey but I don't really want to know. The really annoying part was that my bank makes you put all your coins in something similar to a CoinStar, and every single coin ended up in the reject tray. I've seen better rolls:rollling:
When I get done going through a few boxes and start rolling them all back up, I put my ugly pennies that look like this all in one roll. Maybe that's what happened here?
