Submitting a coin to NGC

    Do you have to be a "paying" member to submit coins for grading?

    yes unless you go through a dealer. i signed up for them a few months ago, i think it was $135 dollars and got the 5 free gradings, then about another $60 in shipping fees there and back.

    No, you don't have to be a paying member. If you are a member of the ANA, you can submit coins to NGC.

    I went through an authorized dealer. You can find authorized dealers on NGC's website.
    I had 3 coins submitted for a total of $80 which seemed fair enough to me.
