Hello, I recently bought this dime for $19 online, and I know that it is quite a valuable coin if it is good condition. I am almost certain I made a good decision in buying it. If anybody could give me a general idea of how much it's worth I would greatly appreciate it. For the most part I noticed hardly any wear on the coin. There are two minor dings on the neck. Liberty is also still readable. I don't see any scratches on the back. Sorry that the quality of the scans aren't the best, my scanner wasn't made for scanning something so small. seems like a roughly VF35-40 specimen and cleaned harshly, still a nice pickup and definitly worth the price, im not sure on the price if its cleaned and how much that affects the value.
you see how it is dirty and it looks like corners and edges are dirty and most focus points and face is less dirty? It was cleaned, very badly done cleaning, as you can see he didnt clean the many *hard to reach* places. The obverse below *AMERICA* it shows very bad cleaning, in the middle suprisingly wasnt cleaned. but can be a result of trying to water your coins with a towel and hoping for the best, Anyways its still a very nice find, and worth more than you payed for, but as I said before I dont know how much this cleaning affects the value. A non cleaned example retails for 150-170 us dollars, with high retail, just to give you an estimate.
