This is a coin I bought about a year ago for my Lincoln album. Coin said it was choice BU and I thought it would grade as a MS63 RB, what are your thoughts? Sorry about the glare on the reverse.
Portrait looks good to me, but is that rub on some of the letters in liberty and "in god we trust"? Or is that just luster busting through the chocolate color?
Thanks, the only thing i see keeping it from a 64 is the two bag marks on the obverse. I don't see any wear on any of the coin but i could be wrong.
I don't see much luster, so I would guess 63 BN. If it has more luster than your pictures show, it might make a 64.
What would the grey sheet put this coins value at? If i remember correctly i paid $30-35 for it I don't normally buy RB Lincolns but couldn't pass this one up
Greysheet is $20 for a 63RB and $48 for a 64RD. But what I am seeing is a brown coin, NGC lists 63BN at $26 and 64BN at $56.
5%, but a better question is when does red become brown. To give you some perspective, look at these 2 http://www.cointalk.com/t222686/ http://www.cointalk.com/t222687/ One is RB and one is BN, but I do not see the difference. And, BTW, this one is BN; http://www.cointalk.com/t223520/
