Ancientnoob wants to make a photo gallery to show his coins.

I will take any suggestions on sites to use. As of today I have over 150 ancient coins photographed. I would like to organize my coins by Continent. I own coins from almost all cultures and times. I think its time that I post them in one centralized location. Complete with details of each coin. This is quite a massive undertaking and I suffer from extreme laziness, ideally I would like to be able to post them easily and quickly. I am entertaining suggestions for places to post my ancients. I would prefer being able to post them for free. I'd love to hear what you guys have to say.:hail:

Thats easy, Forvm is my favorite. Its free to be a member of the site & you can upload at many photos and in high quality. Software is easy to use and you can cut/paste info easily for each coin.

I have my main gallery at CCF. I'm mostly interested in Roman Imperial coins so I have them separated according to various times. I also have other regions. I just have basic information, no history and anything complicated. Just the attributions.

Here is my Tantalus Coins gallery here that has each coin registered.

And then the Roman Imperial grid as well.

Don't worry about getting them all listed at once. I done mine a coin at a time as I purchased them. So, it was fairly easy and not too tedious.

My only question on Forvm is whether they would welcome coins of all periods. Forvm is an ancient site that barely tolerates medieval. It would not seem appropriate to me to expect them to host your pictures of 21st century made for collectors items. Do people post their bullion images there?

Anoob = I have started putting my collection in albums on this site. It's relatively easy once you get the hang of it. Take a look at my albums by going to my personal page. I also have the same coins on Forum's Gallery

Doug, I have seen folks upload tons of modern coins and they were never removed. Some even have u.s. coins. So I dont think it's an issues.

I asked Joe about it once when a user was uploading just loads of ugly junk moderns and he let it stay.

I understand the pieces from last week's Russian fall are going rather dearly now but no one knows how many times gold price is reasonable quite yet. This one is Sinkhote Alin, the last big Russian meteorite.

I copy the verbiage to the clipboard, delete the pic, upload a new one, then paste the verbiage back in.

I have yet to start any album as of yet but all my info for my coins is on the flip insert rather than embedded on the photo. So after uploading my photos I would have to go and type all the particulars. Unfortunately.

Yeah, I don't envy you guys with big collections. Well...I do, but not when it comes to making a gallery.
