i found three coins heres two: as you can see, they are both steel colored, and not even wheats, if they are in the $ i'de like to know the estimate on the prices, and not a " you've got two cents there" type of anser.....
Seems like a wierd form of rust, Im almost certain its not made of steel or if it is its coated but it doesnt look like. I had a couple of these while CRHing and there just dirty unvaluable pennies, thats my opinion.
Yes, and they have a majority zinc core and a 100% copper cladding . In a moist environment with high sulfur content air, Corrosion can occur in less than a year. Some of the coloration made be from the inner zinc layer if the copper was pitted deep enough.
So is this to say that you do not want people to be truthful? I did the same at first. Mistakes happen. As for cutting kids slack, considering that this is an all-ages forum, everyone should be treated equal with very few exceptions.
