Why I'm Skeptical of E Bay at times

    Any spectacular auction which garners dozens of e-stories, blog mentions, etc. across the internet is a hugely successful advertising PR ploy. There doesn't need to be an actual sale, the benefit is realized. Or, a 'Best Offer' might be reported then cancelled, etc., etc. where the vendor might off-line a sale after cancellation or whatever.

    There's room for abuse anyhow, any which way. That "Lego" gold-bar auction was a joke, though.

    Yes i understand that but most guides' and article don't report on best offers since can't see the price besides if you are going thru the trouble of doing that. It is much better to do it an auction and run it up with 2 shill bidders or better yet just have a shill account buy your bin item. You cancel those purchases as well but keep in mind that does trigger red flags and ebay will do a check when purchase is cancelled.
