Your top one looks Ottoman Turks to me.

Upper appears to be a 10 Para from Turkey. circa 1808 or AH1223. A better photo might enable me to determine actual date on coin. What is the weight?

The lower appears to be a 100 Mon from Japan circa 1862. Looks like the long tailed variety. Price range from $75 in VG to $250 in XF. Nice coin

11.8g takes out the 10 Para range, they are 2.8-3.2g. The design is close however. Might be a Kurush from earlier than 1800. I will have a 1700-1800 reference book delivered in a few days and I will check that. Wish I could see the date better.
It looks like Arabic AH1123 which would date the coin 1711.

The Japanese piece is a "Tsubo Tsu Ho" (Sword hilt money) from Akita Province, in the Tohuko region, north of the area devastated in the 2011 earthquake/tsunami.

The Japanese Numismatic Dealers Association Catalog dates it as 1862. There are three varieties, with different tail lengths, but I have no reference materials showing them. I suspect that sonlarson is correct, as the 7-segment tails take up all the available space. The one in the JNDA catalog is probably the middle one, as one phoenix has a 7-segment tail and the other has 5 segments.

I also agree with his dating of the Turkish coin.

Just got my book today. This is the closest I could find that matched the coin from Turkey. AH1143 translates to 1730. Only problem is it shows weight from 24.75-26.7g. That is heavier than the 11.8 you said it weights. 31mm seems a little large for 11.8g. You might want to reweigh. Hope this helps
Mahmud I era AH1143-68/1730-1754. Hammered coinage.
