oh man, I went in a BOA the other day to deposit a check and I asked the teller if she had any halves. She kind of laughed and said I was the third person to ask her that day! :rollling:

1/2 ounce per box...killer! I'm more like 1/4 per box if I'm lucky.

    Box of Nickels: Skunk.

Actually, it was worse than a skunk. A roll was missing. I paid $500 for $490 worth of halves.

Any suggestions? Am I out $10 or can I get it back from my bank?

At this point, I don't think there is anything you can do. But before openning the box, check thru the little holes to make sure that all the rolls are there. That's what I've always done, and this way there is proof. Unless you have some sort of proof, I think it is too late.

CWR stands for Customer Wrapped Roll, and opposite this is BWR, which stands for Bank Wrapped Roll.

EDIT: Oh, I was too late.

Depends on the relationship with the bank. Happened to me once in a Loomis box, no holes to check. I let the bank know about it and was not expecting a credit. They thanked me for letting them know and I left. A day or two later there was a $10 credit in my account. It all worked out in the end perhaps because I'm in there on a weekly basis and I have an account there and the company I work for banks there as well.

My box of halves are Brinks boxes. They are more of cubes than the long skinny ones. These have no holes to check. :(

This is my primary bank where the majority of my money is and where I have taken out 3 loans. I have e-mailed the branch manager and we'll see what happens. Thanks!

I agree with HOTN, it also depends on the relationship with the bank, and by the sounds of it, your relationship is strong. Keep us posted on what plays out.

    Wow...Almost a solid roll - Dimes

I picked up $100 a couple weeks ago and got 6 Roosies...I figured I'd hit them up again and luckily I got the same teller. I asked for $100 more in dimes...you know "for the kids". She serves em up and I'm off.

single roosie 2.jpg single roosie 1.jpg just wow.jpg single roosie 3.jpg 33 silvers .jpg
That roll had 30 silvers, one being a silver Canadian, then a clad Candian.
My best score of the year, my best dime score ever. As I poured I was thinking solid roll, so close!
    Giddy Up!!!!
