Hello friends! I found this 5.77 gram gold-colored New Hampshire quarter while roll-hunting. Am I safe to assume that it was post-mint gold-plated? Any real value in it?

    Thanks in advance!

A kid lost one of these at school a few months ago and I did some research. You have people that might pay $2.75 because they're completing a set and you'll have people who will say it's worthless because the coin was tampered with after it was minted.

Beauty is in the eyes of the collector. I have a gold plated Ike. Some say it's worthless. Others say they'd pay $10 for it.

Looks like one of the gold plated statehood quarters from those sets that are sold on t.v.

Definitely and after-mint plating as the Mint does NOT plate anything in gold.

Yeah, it's worth a quarter. Assuming you could find somebody that would let you spend it in their store.

Stick it in a vending machine. The machine doesn't know the difference.
