^^Hope your luck turns around Fade!^^

Went to one of my dump banks, sparked up a conversation with two of the tellers there and one of them kindly handed me a 64' Quarter and said he would save me anything interesting he finds. Sweet! Also results for the day...

    Halves:
Box #1 - Skunk (back on the skunk train for halves apparently, "Oh well, maybe tomorrow")

    Nickels:
    Box #1 - Buffalo-1 (1937), War-2 (last 5 War nickels I've found have been 43'P...interesting!)

All in all...i feel like its been a good day! :)

Box of Halves: Skunk on silver, but found a 2001S and 2007S proof. That was my last box of halves for the week. Now, I have to wait until Tuesday. :(

I asked one of my pickup banks to increase my boxes from four to six per week. We'll see what happens.

One of my students (I'm a HS teacher) has started searching rolls from banks and he said he was going to pick up 9 rolls of quarters to search through. I told him "good luck" because it would be hard to find anything in quarters, let alone only 9 rolls. He came back the next day with a 1964 quarter that he found...in the 9th roll. I was amazed. I have yet to find one.

How come I was invited to the wedding? ha ha
Those boxes sound like mine last year, it's prob just a big batch of your dumps and there was no time for others to cash in silver and make it into the boxes. I'll take 3 good weeks and 1 bad every month. You must be close to 200 ozs for the year already right?

I'm not complaining about my box yesterday, that is for sure. It just seems odd to me that I find more Walkers than Bens.

Wow my first find, I have been reading this tread for a while now and never have done any searching, so yesterday I stopped by a small bank that I never go into and asked if they had any rolls of half's. They said yea we have 4 rolls and they were hand rolled it looks like by the teller there and she says there is no silver in them but I took them any ways $40 dollars worth and guess what My first 40% 67 half YEA. I love it, she over looked it and I almost did too but it is mine now.

I have 2 box's coming tomorrow man this is going to get ADDICTING if I keep finding a few now and then.

Here's my best find, found looking though dime rolls, 2-1964 satin dimes, or special mint set ! I've studied theses two coins with a picture of one from pcgs ! The eye, and mouth tell the story of the different between a regular strike, and a satin, or special mint set, the last photo 2 are from pcgs the third photo is the sms, and the last photo is of a regular A004 - 20130110_080108 (2).jpg A001 - 20130110_081612 (2).jpg 1964 sms.jpg 1964 business strike.jpg

I contacted Rich for www.exonumia.com for some help in identifying the counterstamp. He was great and got back to me very quickly. He said it looks like a "B" or "IB" counterstamp but that they do not list the single and double countermarks as they are virtually impossible to ID. Maybe something will come up at some point on it's meaning. Thanks to Fade and Erik for pointing the counterstamp out to me in the first place.

Send them in to PCGS! If you are correct, then certification is well worth the cost.

I know nothing about it one way or the other, except that if is SMS, you should get it certified. Did you try posting this on the main forum?
