My Best box since 9/1/2012

It's been a long time since I have had a single box produce this much silver (ounces). I've score 8 & 9 40%ers back in December 2012 but those just don't add up like the 90% ers do. Here some photos for your viewing pleasure....

Picked up 10 boxes today, and found out that I lost a good, steady reliable bank that gave me 6 boxes a week, that smarts... there's plenty of banks right near it, though, so I'll just spread things around and I shouldn't feel that too much.

While I was picking up four of my boxes, the head teller goes "So you do what that dude on doomsday preppers was doing right? You find lots and lots of silver?" I put on my best stupid face, looked dead at her, and said, "I have no idea what you're talking about, I keep the collectable ones and errors. I find maybe 3 or 4 silver coins a week."

Guess I won't be picking up any more good CWR's from that bank.

I like skunks like that...ya know...the ones with this silvery white line down the middle -- especially when they start multiplying right before your eyes! Amazing lil creatures, aren't they! Congrats, can't wait to see the stash!

18 cwr of halves... one short. Evened out the extra I had yesterday. Also picked up 20 ikes.

 

Box of pennies, couple wheats, but got this 1906 Indian Head, my first one and this misaligned die (awful pic on this one, but best I could get for some reason). I wish the Indian Head didn't have those two big gouges in the obverse, but considering the coin is more then a hundred years old and I found it in a roll I'm not going to complain.

 

Looks like the IHC actually has an old counterstamp, those can sometimes be collectable, looks like a I3 or IB or 13?

 

I had a box of rolls I was going to 'dump' at a store that usually gets my stuff. So any Westside roll searchers in Los Angeles won't get them, I don't dump at the bank. The store guy didn't need them this time. But a few days ago a guy bought my load. THE SAME Guy was here again, saw me, asked if I had any coins. I sold him the load. So apparently he just needs coins, is not a roll searcher after all.

I got more, only checked $100 Quarters so far. A coin stood out. Saw the edge, knew right off it wasn't a pre 1965 US quarter, as it was too thick, and not quite the right color. figured it was either a foreign, or a supervaluable US Mint mistake.

It was just a UK 10 Pence. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow.

 

That should be the official motto of this hobby.

 

Box of dimes skunk. Picking up 2 boxes of halves on Friday!

 

That looks to me to be a 'B' counterstamp.

 

I got $770 in CWR halves on Friday at two banks that have been fairly good to me. Skunk

2 boxes of halves yesterday.

Skunked for silver but there was 1 1982 proof, 1 1983 proof, 2004p, 2007 p&d 2009d, 3 2011p, 2 2012 p and 2012d.

I like the proofs almost as much as 40 percenters.

 

I've got like, 6 rolls if you wanna buy 'em. 40%ers go for about 90 a roll, I'll cut you a deal and sell you the proofs for $45 a roll. half price!

 

Also today,

$100 mixed roll dimes - '47 CDN George VI maple leaf

 

two boxes of nickels, 1 box of dimes, 5 rolls of pennies. All I got out was 1 wheat and 1 no date buffalo. I still have the rest of the box of pennies to go through and another box of dimes. Then friday 1 or 2 boxes of halfs. need to branch out like fade and start looking into some other banks. my dump bank and pick up bank are too close and both companies use loomis so i might b getting my own dumps back. got my taxes back finally so i am going out friday to the banks and searching. plus going to throw down on some rounds so atleast i get some silver lol.

 

10 boxes today, 5 40% and 2 proofs, absolutely brutal. Seem to have one of these weeks every month.

I get my taxes back Friday. $5k, whoo! Got married so my tax bracket dropped 10% and I get all that money I paid back, haha. All going to pay off CC debt, except the last $500. Gonna buy myself a real nice WLH with that.
