They are more expensive than the regular ones. But they look more professional, IMO. They also don't get stuck in pages like the stapled ones do.

i have used many types of them. from my experience that have worked out great. no pesky staples to worry about.

I don't trust whatever the glue is but love the box. Looks like a nice way to keep the 2x2s nice and clean.

I've had some and the clear plastic window was not so clear. The plastic is sort of stretchy as well and coins sort of hang in the bottom of the window if they are a little smaller. Maybe I had a defect box but I won't bother to try again, I threw out what I had long ago.

    I am sure gonna ask.

Seriously, the box alone to me is worth it. I hate trying to keep my flips lint free. Maybe I should create some storage boxes for coin flips and patent them!

    therocktjb Wait, what**

I had a few coins I received in them, they were a pain in the rear to remove from the 2x2, so that tells me that they're at least durable. They appeared to have been in them for a while, and there isn't any glue or residue on the coins, no abnormal toning or anything of that nature.

    The glue makes me nervous.

I smell AT from a mile away with that glue in there.

I can't stand them. The coins look horrible in them. The windows get hazy and usually the coins inside are much better than what they look like in the 2x2. The glue also could have long term storage complications.

Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

I would have bet money on some sort of condensation, and as Tdec said, the windows get hazy. My money goes with that being the reason. I would also guess the glue is not chemically inert either.

I have a silver Roosie that's been in one for about 20 years, and it shows no signs of toning.

there are many different brands out there. i have found some better than others. the better ones i have yet to have any haze form on the clear plastic. the fit nice and snug. no problems. i have some that have been sealed for years with no issues from the glue. i have them all in plastic sheets and then in a binder. for me they fit so much better than staple style 2X2's. to each their own :D

the small ones worked but for morgans and other large coins they kept coming apart.

i have only used for pennies, dimes, nickel and quarters. just a few halves but no coins larger than that. i can see how ones for morgan's and other coins that size would be a pain

I've been using them for 10 or 12 years and haven't had any problems. I haven't had any "hazing"problems with the windows either. I like the look much better than the 2X2s that need to be stapled.
