Diffused Lighting Coin Photography (Capture the Color)

    The coins don't even look the same! That first jefferson nickel that you showed me, was just... Huba BUBA, when you did the diffused lighting!
    Truly amazing, and yes a TOTW for sure, you got my vote! ;)
    Well done, and WOW! Now if only I had a toned coin... LOL! :D

    Lehigh, Great post. I am shocked I was the first to "like" it. This definitely deserves some love.

    You shouldn't be surprised. This, along with many of my posts, were made before the inception of the "like" button. Back then, CT used the TOTW. Thanks for the kudos.

    Thank you for the additional info on this topic...much appreciated. Took this photo using the paper towel, single lamp method. Just gotta make sure I turn the lamps off before anything starts smoking! :)

    Without the use of diffused lighting, nobody would ever know that this coin has beautiful pale yellow and lavender toning. Enjoy!
