Now remember this is free advice. Please dont send me coins or money as gratitude for this free advice. here it is.... Make sure your coin shop is searchable on GPS. Often times when im traveling in a new area I do gps searchs for coin shops and check them out. Now please dont shower me with gifts for telling you this tip.
Did you know that GPS tracking can also zoom in so someone can watch you coming and going? If they send you any gift, it should be a knuckle sandwich. Chris
Google Earth isn't live. For that thieves need to crack into NASA or the CIA spy satellite network. By GPS searchable he merely means when he types in "coin store" into his map program it lists all the coin shops in the area so he knows where they are. Guy
I can +1 to this. Went to a new coin shop a few weeks ago, the street address was for the other side of the street and I spent much longer looking for it than I should have.
Great advice.....I travel a lot and many times I will search "coin" in places of interest to find a shop close by. If nothing comes up, I google as well.
My free advice... it's ok if you are a little anti-social or grumpy, but at least say "hello" to people walking in the building and "thanks" when people buy something. It's ok to smile once and awhile.
Here are some more free advice. Don't treat new potential customers like thieves. Try to organize your store so customers can see what you have, rather than saying I have stuff in the back, what do you want?
I have never been in a coin shop, we dont have any around here that keep their coins, they send them all of for silver/gold price.
Having searched for them myself it is nice if they are on there. I do realize most shops are old dudes that don't have computers though
I don't think I'd put tons of stuff out either after reading all the burglaries going out there. They need to be safe.
