I went to the Charlotte Coin Club show today to drop off 10 coins for ANACS to grade and happened to pick up this beauty before I left.
Joe, I didn't know there was a radio active dump site near Sacramento. Now I know where your buffaloes spent a lot of time.
I hate to be the party pooper but IMO, that 1904-O Morgan is a blatant example of AT with no toning correspondence. Magenta & Green on top of the stars? Yeah, I'm not buyin it! Nice photo though.
I have to agree. Also on the reverse Right wing. Usually the devices have a slight disturbance with the toning in the fields. That goes right through it. What initially brought me to the conclusion.
As some of you may know, one of my favorite series is the German Federal 5 Mark "screaming eagle". I also collect toners. After years of trying to find an eye-appealing toned one, I finally did. I am a happy camper. For some reason, they are darn near impossible to find. I don't know why. Maybe the composition, or the rinse at the mint, I just don't know. Anyway, here it is and a few more new ones this week. 1970-G German Federal Republic Silver 5 mark 1913 Prussia 2 mark I have also been working on finishing a Canada toned half dollar set. Picked up 4 I was missing this week. Here are two. 1964 Canada 50 cents 1966 Canada 50 cents
Nice! I almost pulled the trigger on a couple of those...decided to get some of that seller's 71 silver dollar toners instead. Beautiful pickups!
I bought this one a year ago and since it toned a very nice blue with golden tone on the relief area.
This arrived today. Hard to find later-date Kennedys with decent, NT. Should grade pretty high as well - there isn't a mark on it.
toners Vinegar @ mix of 50/50 distilled water will tone any non copper coin. but the Pcgs toy may pick it up?
