Too long, didn't read.

Just kidding man. You see the numbers I post? What you don't see, is the skunks. I get plenty of skunks every week. For some reason, my area gets less skunks than normal (I'm at about 40% skunks on the year) so I've got it good here, but I know plenty of other areas where skunk rates are 60-70%. This isn't a hobby that produces reliable returns without large volume. This is a hobby that is about grinding through the slow times to get to the good times. You should know that after 6, I think you said, years of this. Look at the box I picked up today and posted about right above here... it's still out there, you're just cold right now. If you are really desperate to get some good coin coming in, find about $10k, order 20 boxes a week, and drive way out of your district (If you're in upstate NY, I'd recommend the NYC area) and dump there. That will ensure you get fresh coin after you do that for about a month. There are a lot of big searchers in the NYC-Connecticut area that are probably impacting your results.

First find ever! 1969 40%. Fourth or fifth roll searched ever. Pretty exciting moment for such a small reward!

I'm be looking forward to that vid, Fade!

In the meantime, here's some results from Tuesday:

Box of dimes - '60
$200 mixed dimes - '56
$140 BWR dimes - '57, '64D
$45 CWR dimes - '63D
1 CWR halves - one 40%er
and a box of nicks - well, it seems I don't have the patience for nickels. I think I went through about $30 worth and the oldest I saw was a '46S. I'm not going to unwrap the rest. Been too busy helping Mom move and haven't had any time for much of anything this week. I'll put them back in the field once the banks open again after the storm for someone else to actually enjoy.

Forgot to mention, I dumped the Ikes I didn't want today... took 'em to a branch that usually won't take large deposits of coin (I hate this bank, by the way, but have an account there just to screw with them.) and walked in. The teller (this guy has told me that he searches everything they've got on a regular basis since their branch is so slow) asks me what I'm doing with the bag of coins, I tell him I want to deposit them. He looks at me and goes "Yeah, we can't really deal with those, we don't do bulk change unless it's rolled." and I retort with my favorite line when I'm dumping Ikes; "May I please have some rolls, then?" They never have rolls. Nobody. No bank in my area has had these rolls in probably a decade if not longer lol. So he is all flustered, and I propose letting them keep my bag, then if there is an issue, they can deduct it from my account. While I'm mentioning this, I pull a few out, including one that I used a silver sharpie on to paint the sides silver to make it look like a silver dollar, and stack them on the counter. His eyes are instantly diverted and on the coin. I explained that, like poker chips, Ikes can be quickly counted in stacks of ten. I then grabbed the 20 ikes I had out on the counter and tossed them back into the bag. He grabbed a deposit slip, tossed the money in my account, and I was out the door. :)

He's in for a surprise when there isn't a single thing worth keeping in that bag, ha.

well after only finding 3 40% coins in my last 30 some boxes of halves, I finally hit it good today! 10 boxes:
box 1: skunk
box 2: skunk
box 3: 2 40%
box 4: 112 NIFC, 86 proofs, 13 40%!!
box 5: skunk
box 6: 3 NIFC
box 7: 1 NIFC, 1 proof
box 8: 17 NIFC
box 9: skunk
box 10: 1 franklin

Box #4 was the one I've been waiting for, finally a good score of silver, and so much fun with all those proofs in every roll! I probably have enough to finish my kennedy dansco with proofs! :) Also got a morgan dollar from a bank teller that knew it was silver, but said he wasn't allowed to take it. I felt bad and bought him a caramel frappe that I know he likes :)

Best box ever. Ignore the banter between me and my fiancee, who had just gotten home from work, or her shoving one of our cats into the camera frame, lol.

Final tally of 1 Walker (I was incorrect in the video, it does not fill a roll, it fills a hole in my album, it's a '27-S.), 2 franklins, 8 '64's, and 112 40%ers, including the 40% bicentennial.

20.54oz of silver worth $645.66 at melt right now.

Here's a pic of what came out of the box;

And everything else I found today, which totaled out to 11 other boxes, with 5 Franklins (more of those polished ones, too), 11 '64's, and 25 40%. Net of 27 90% and 137 40%. Really nice day, a cherry on top of what was a very, very good week.

Weekly totals were 1 Walker, 17 bens, 26 '64's, and 173 40% out of 33 boxes.

Ok, I'm only 32 secs in and just the SOUND of the silver hitting the table as you toss them is creating a Pavlovian response ovah heah! Is it me or are those some old school wrappers? That alone would make me think you have a huge payday on your hands!

Uhm yeah. I'm actually gonna wait and finish this video later. Gotta go clean a foot of Nemo off the car right now. It will give me something to look forward to when I get back in!

Stay safe with the snow, we are just getting a little here, something like 6 inches... Boston is getting HAMMERED. Generational-type storm for that area.

The rolls are the same rolls all my Garda boxes have, they switched a while back. I love these rolls, you can see how easy they are to open, takes literally a second or less to get the coins out. I found one of my own marked coins (gold sharpie on edge) in this box, lol.
