I guess the thread is so old that everyone has run out of things to post. I have some in the queue that need to be imaged. I think we lost a few members along the way too.
Here is a punch mark, Mauryan Empire, probably c.321-150BC, AR karshapana. Not yet uploaded to zeno; I see a bull and an elephant, not ID yet.
Please do keep posting as it's a great thread. I have a couple of thousand I 'could' post, but they are mostly on Zeno already and nobody wants to see duplicates. Keep up the good work.
What is your handle on zeno? I would like to see your coins. I intend to upload this one to zeno in a few minutes, Gujarat Sultans AE falus, Nasir al-Din Ahmad Shah I, c.AD1411-1442/AH(8)39)
"1920 8 Anna - seems to be a lot scarcer than the books suggest" The 1919 and 1920 issues of 8 annas (from Bombay) have small mintage figures: 1.1 million and 1.3 million respectively
I have some India coins, but more British rule than anything else. Check out the pair of 1945 1/4 rupees, large 5 and small 5
I really do miss Siberian Man. Shared many interesting coins. Considering where he lived, his collection was huge.
This one is a new arrival and only tentatively IDed. Mughal, Muhammad Shah, AE dam, Elichpur, c.1719-1748.
