First, you should learn proper sentence structure and punctuation. Second, you should probably look for a bank (not a Credit Union, which is what I'm assuming ACU is) to dump with... don't be afraid to open a business account if you're serious about doing a lot of volume. Change processing costs them money, you know. Be up front about what you'll be doing when you open an account, and ask them how you can work with them to make it easy for them... While the banks are there to serve customers, they're not there to serve individuals that just want to take advantage of the services they offer to regular customers. Being open and honest with your dump banks about your plans, volume, and intents can go a long, long way.
sorry,i am doing this on my iphone and i had told them from the beginning that i would be do $100 in pennies 3-5 times a week. and they said that would be fine, then today they said that they can no longer do than. because its not cost effective for them to do that. and no banks around me have a coin machine that is why i am there. cus its a pain in the butt to re roll $100 in pennies.
Iphone is no excuse, dude, I'm posting from my android right now. Find another bank with a coin counter.
Its not good edicate ether to buy coins from the same bank you dump at.... That gets them mad to. If your going to buy coins from one bank, don't even dump one penny at that bank.
Indeed, it creates bad juju. Buy coins at one bank, dump them at another. Make sure you are always at your very friendliest - even if it kills you. Never argue. Tellers and managers appreciate little goodies like boxes of candies, tickets for events etc. Yesterday I gave four tickets to a play on Thursday night to a teller that sold me 85 1928 and 1934 Series $5 bills, but since she is preggers I am also going to get her a giftcard to Babies R Us next time I get down there. You cannot succeed in this business without acting like a businessman and making sure everybody appreciates doing business with you - and nobody else!
I use one credit union with a coin counter as my dump bank but they have four branches. The close branch I dump smaller amounts at the further away branches I dump a pile at but rarely get there. I use wells and b of a as my pickup banks and order some from each of them because they use different service. I also order from more than one wells as to stay below the radar. If I were you I would find another dump bank but still use your credit union just scale way back. I also agree with the concept of a little appreciation in the proper forms.
I dump at three different institutions with a total of 8 branches with coin machines. I vary my route so I am not too much of an inconvenience.
im sorry that i dont know how to use punctuation and im really stupid so what ever......................................................................
Look man, if you're going to the ACU in Yelm, you're not going to be able to pick up and dump there. I sat down with one of the bank manager for about 15 minutes the other day, and while it is a new branch and they are trying to make a name in the community, they aren't comfortable doing a lot of coin business yet. She was very nice, and understands the hobby, and is willing to do what she can. I would suggest finding a heritage bank, they will accept dumping, and have CWR's of halves from time to time. You have to reroll your coins, and if you fond it a hassle, invest in a coin sorter or some counting tubes. Makes it easier. I enjoy rolling my coins personnaly, I do it while watching some TV.
Nahh, I'm dumping at the branch in spanaway and Lakewood but they are sayying that there may be a fee to dump there .
I didn't get in over my head they said they dump at multiple banks and I really can't do that as of right now.
Then you should cut your volume. I dump $25k or so in change every week, but I gradually worked my way up to decent volume and built relationships with the banks... and when I had good relationships with them, they asked me if I wanted to use bags to dump... and now I can move $100k in change a month. Start small and work your way up, while focusing on developing business relationships. If you can't get that, then this hobby isn't for you, at least not in any way that resembles high volume.
You ordered without knowing the banks policies on dumping. You ordered too much too fast and ran into a problem directly becuase of it. If you didn't get in over your head, then you bite off more than you can chew.
Ah the good old days - I can remember riding my bike around with bags of rolled coin taking them back to the bank - one time I dropped the bag - broke the rolls and had to go in and ask for new wrappers and sit and re-roll everything
lotusboyrulz, I know you think it's ridiculous that people are commenting on how you posted instead of what you posted but you have to respect your fellow members by not stumbling through a comment with barely legible sentences that don't have a beginning or end. Fellow members want to help answer questions and truly enjoy answering questions. They aren't going to answer posts if it takes them longer to figure out what your trying to ask then it would for them to answer it. This is friendly advice so please don't take it the wrong way and 'whatever' me like FadeToBlack.
well i ordered them i the morning and then i dropped off at night. then acu said "you can only drop off coins here on Tuesday- Thursday and not on the 1st or the 15th ". before that i had no problems and i steped up $25 each week . i will only be buying $100 at a time . but thanks for all your guys help.
Sounds like I better remember to not hit up banks in Roy Yelm or spanaway area. I'll stick with puyallup and south hill
