My Intercept Shield U.S. Type set

    I've seen lots of silver proofs with rim toning from Dansco albums. I've seen large cents with nasty verdigris come out of Intercept Shields. Not sure how much the album was to blame for the latter (probably horrific storage conditions that no album could save from).

    I love the idea of albums but I don't use them for fear of side effects on coins.

    Do the Intercept Shield albums have the plastic slides that go over each row of coins like the Dansco albums? I can't seem to find that info out.

    Yes they do have slides on both sides. I forgot I posted this thread back in 2011. I haven't looked at or added to the set in a while. I'm sure the coins haven't changed.
