I never looked through my slabbed coins since I got them, but today I got bored and pulled them out...Here is what i found...

    I will try to get better pictures soon... 2013-02-05 19.34.43.jpg 2013-02-05 19.35.12.jpg 2013-02-05 19.34.12.jpg

Looks like the coin could be pretty, but that Slab scares me. Maybe submit to PCGS/NGC?

PCI slabs have been known to actually cause toning in coins. i saw a bunch of ASE's once that happened to. they had pictures of before the coins were submitted and then after they were in the slabs for a few years.

That's an old 10 digit PCI slab.....great slab and a nice coin. You need to read this:

Now there is a business model for you. "Submit your white coins for grading, and after 10 years we will also tone your coin for you as well! You can triple your money."

Looks like it could be a very pretty coin. I would get it out of that basement slab, and submit it to PCGS or NGC, since it looks like nice, natural toning. Whether or not the slab allowed for the toning, it could reside nicely in either of the two real TPG's slabs.

I would think the toning was already on the coin when it went into the slab. Considering it says "50% toned" on the slab. Unless they are able to tell the future.
Regardless of the slab, I think it is a nice looking Morgan. It's hard to tell from the images, but it looks like a 63 to me.

That looks like a nicely toned Morgan :) and the one Morgan I bought in a PCI holder graded MS-63DMPL and came back from NGC MS-64DMP, that has just been my one experience however I'm pointing out that just because the holder is not one of the big two (and ANACS) doesn't mean it's a problem coin and inaccurately graded. Nice find!

I agree. Just because it's in a PCI slab, doesn't mean it's AT or even over-graded. Not that anyone said that.

I cleaned up OP's images a little. The colors do look very nice. Hard to tell about the breast feathers on the reverse though.
