Last Day of The Penny Google Animation

I typed in google.com and I live in america. Just regular old google popped up.

 

Must be a Canada thing? Don't get me wrong, I love my neighbors to the North...........

 

Now is the time to complete the Canadian penny collection. It has a beginning and an end, so just getting one of each year shouldn't be too hard.

Anybody think the American penny will cease production in the next 10 years?

 

Yes, I see it ceasing, just like adoption of the metric system... I think the dollar bill will cease first, replaced by the dollar coin. The penny will be eliminated as the dollar begins to lose more and more value. I would say 10 years from now sounds about right to me. I'm ready now for the penny to go now though.
