Hold up, this is the second time I've heard of someone getting a bank to order Ikes for them. Do tell, if you please. Are these local yokels or national type banks? How much is one order? If I had to guess, I'd think they'd want to you get $500-$1000 at a time. I'm thinking heavy. Will they wheel it out to the car for ya?

Box of Nickels: 28 pre-1960, Skunk on Wars.

Okay, someone posted earlier about getting TOO much money back from a coin machine while dumping. The same thing happened to me today. I dumped $488 worth of half dollars to a bank. It was a machine that was in the back so the teller put the coins in the machine. The machine was having problems (or was it the teller :)) and after about 15 minutes, the teller came back and told me my total was $614.50. Yes, $126.50 MORE than what I brought in (I'm a math teacher so I know for a fact what I brought in!). I couldn't believe it. I said that was wrong and way too high but she said that there was no way to recount because my coins were now mixed in with other coins. She then proceeded to give me my money. I feel guilty but there was nothing that she nor I could do. Weird.

Oh yeah. I'd need help with that. I actually dropped my box of halves getting into the car today! Haven't done that before!

  14. Searched four rolls of halves today (that's all I could afford.) No silver or anything special. But I did find a couple to fill in my date/mintmark collection, so I'm happy! Oddly enough, there was an entire roll's worth of Bicentennials mixed throughout the four.

I also picked up a Bicentennial Ike from the teller's tray.

That was me that posted that earlier this week. Its given me from a few bucks over up to $37 over. I felt guilty also. I took them some pizzas the next day...They loved it! Took some to my pickup bank also and they pulled out a stash of CWR halves for me. None of the rolls had any silver, but they told me any halves and big dollars that come in that bank will be mine... it will pay off one day soon!

Its the courier that delivered or boxed the coins. The nickels I went thru were rolled and boxed by Loomis. Other couriers that I know of are brinks, garda, and dunbar
