I have had this one for a while. The obverse looks like a strong vf maybe a weak xf. Reverse looks like it could be an xf.The obverse also looks to be harshly cleaned. But I am by no means an expert or claim to be one.

I agree with Tyler. If only it hadn't been cleaned, because the reverse has some strong details. :dismay:

This was one of my first purchases. I paid the xf price , and learned a lot since.

Heck we've all paid more for coins that were graded higher than they should have . Think of it as tuition for your education , I'd put it in an envelope and let it sit for a few years to tone a little , it's still a nice 1st coin . I'm sure you'll be able to tell if a coin was cleaned better than before . We are all constantly learning , when we stop we might as well stop collecting .

VF. I want more details on the obverse to go higher.

VF details, and harshly cleaned. Very nice reverse, but the obverse is demolished by that scrubbing. The scratches are huge.

I have placed it in an envelope and hopefully after a few years I will get some nice toning.

I hope you get nice toning. I don't think that will ever hide the damage already created by the cleaning though.
