Time to See Your Silver Washington Quarters

    From Greattoning on eBay. Was graded MS64 by ICG, but received a Questionable Color by PCGS.

    On a proof coin I could imagine the colors would be okay, but on a business strike coin I have trouble with this piece. Perhaps PCGS was on the same wavelength as me for this coin.

    That 1958-D WQ shown above has the classic US Mint Set colors on it when they look terrific. That's a cool coin.

    Yes, yes. Your quarter is wonderful. Oddly enough, although I have several nice 1957-D WQs, I have never been able to pick up a coin like yours for 1958-D.

    These are all really sweet! How do you tell if a quarter is silver? I have a lot of 60's quarters and someone told me to drop them on a table but I don't get how that will help me lol.

    All Washington quarters '64 and earlier are made of 90% silver.

    They are getting super tough to find in circulation. I have found one in a coinstar reject bin. That's about it.
