I don't know who that is and I don't have a facebook. I will say that coin picks sound terrible, feel terrible, and destroy strings.

If PeeWee Herman touched it, I wouldn't want it. :D Sorry, I'm not trying to be cold or anything, just being honest. I haven't tried one of those coin picks yet but it's mostly because I want to play like Wes Montgomery, without a pick. ;) Now all I gotta do is start playing again, oh and get good. :D

I don't think it's right to turn coins into picks...
the fact that it's a coin you're destrying...
the fact the it's made of metal instead of traditional plastic...
Doesn't makes sense to me - though it's pretty interesting. :foot-mouth:

BTW, I collect guitar picks that I get at concerts. :smile There are less than a dozen good ones in my collection but they are ALL fun to collect. Last Friday I added one from a David Gilmore impersonator "Ryan Ball" in the band called "The Machine". We saw the Machine at the Ridgefield Playhouse. We had previously seen America at the Ridgefield and before that we saw Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo at the Ridgefield. All their guitar picks are in my collection today. It's a fun collection. The large stadium shows make it more difficult to get examples but I've managed to add a few each year. The only way I to add to the collection is to sit up front at the concerts. I've never looked for items on Ebay or Musician websites. That wouldn't be the same as getting it at the show.

Similar to the picks these guys make out of exotic woods... they look nice (although coins not so much) but are basically worthless IMO.

Get one of these, use old cards to make some picks.

I don't think a bicentennial quarter is worth much, so what's the harm? It's probably a better use of it than as a coin in my opinion.

This afternoon I bought Blue Oyster Cult tickets. The concert is in 3-days & my seat is #7 in the front row. :) Sometimes good seats become available just a few days before the show date.

Let's see if I can get another guitar pick for the collection. :D

I've gotten two towels that Donald Fagen threw in to the front row. Cool and gross at the same time!

I don't think anybody here would expect you to change your mind, so good for you. Besides, people can change. :thumb:

Our seats were directly in front of Richie Castellano of Blue Oyster Cult & I asked him for a guitar pick. It is now a new addition to the collection. :)

He is quite the musician IMO.

We also asked the guys on stage to sign a 12" LP Vinyl record master. This master is basically a nickel-metal master record that is used to mold the Vinyl records. Here it is:
