I don't know much about MPCs. What is a "CCMPC Plate Note?"

Nice MPC note. Not too familiar with CCMPC plates though.

Might be a tester for a newly engraved plate. Not sure but it's a good looking piece.

CCMPC is shorthand for Comprehensive Catalog of Military Payment Certificates, the MPC catalog published by Fred Schwan. Plate note means it was used for the picture in the catalog.

Another beautiful note for your collection Rusty. I only collect N.J. obsoletes and don't have any MPCs but I enjoy seeing your new pieces. Congrats!

I am a Viet Nam vet 11/67-11/68, went thru a MPC changeover so had access to 2 different series but wasn't a collector way back then, who know they would ever be worth more than face?

The OPs note is on page 204 of the 4th edition of the MPC catalog.

Gee, guess I better go dig mine out of the attic and see what I saved. I'll post pics when I get a chance. I am sure I have some stashed in a box.

What year is yours MPCUSA? I found mine from 68-69. They are still in mint condition, thank goodness. I'll post pics when I can get good ones of them...when I don't have to go to work.

This particular note is a Series 481 50 Cent issued on 6/20/1951 and withdrawn on 5/25/1954

Here,s one of my favorites from the Vietnam era Series 681 $10 in PCGS 69PPQ a top pop note in my registry
    Issued on 8/11/1969 and withdrawn 10/7/70 it,s a Classic :)

I have to move to my other computer to post

This is one of my favorite MPC notes. I was a tank mechanic in the military so I am drawn to the tank on the reverse.

As an avid collector of military payment certificates i find it very puzzling indeed that the only real military references
In the way of pictures comes only from the series 681??

You are right. I just flipped through CCMPC to double check. I find it a little weird for this to be the only series portraying anything related to military also.

    My stash

Here's mine that I dug out of the attic and put in bill holders the other night. Until I saw this thread I had no idea that people collected them graded and ungraded. But I guess it figures they would. They have been stashed in an envelope packed in a box for a very long time and are still in mint condition. I have doubles of most...I guess I at least had sense enough to keep two of each except for one. DSC00081.jpg DSC00082.jpg DSC00083.jpg DSC00084.jpg PMC.jpg

As an aside, since a lot of you seem to be Vietnam vets like myself, I also saved these 3 items. One looks to me like a lottery ticket but I do not remember what it was. The others of course are some mint Vietnamese bills I saved which I am sure are no longer around since the north took over. DSC00089.jpg DSC00090.jpg VIET LOTTERY.jpg
