    NICE!!

I picked up a box of halves today, only found a few newer coins 2002, 2003 and 2005... are these even worth holding on to?

I'm in Indiana so I doubt if we have the same supplier. I usually get a couple of boxes of new nickels and then go to other branches and beg for them to switch with me. I did that today and had decent results which I will post soon.

Mr. Flute - you descended from hero to zero precipitously when you found the second example of your career, whence you occasion I have yet to find a mere example. :D

is this a clipped planchet error?

The edge is straight and smooth. What do you guys think? These are scanned pictures; I wasn't having much luck with my camera today.

I'd say its real, I can see some slight Blaksely effect going on.

$100 in Nickels: 15 pre-1960, nothin special...except this: What is it? It feels like its a fake coin because it's so lightweight. It's roughly the size of a nickel...a little smaller.

    $100 in dimes: SKUNK

Although Scottishmoney already nailed it I will second him. It's a Japanese 1 yen. I have a few from my stop in Japan, This is a good site to help you figure out the date: http://dateconverter.net/japanese/平成十七年/?hl=en

In other news - Picked up my Saturday morning $200 in dollars and $100 in quarters. Nothing new in the quarters except 4 Hawaii ATB's and a few others. The dollars gave up a 03D and 07P Sac and a John Tyler-D which is one of the two I need to get my presidential dollars up-to-date.

I also just finished going through my 92, 98, 99, and 00 cents from my last 2 boxes and pulled out my 2nd 2000 WAM.

Not CRH but I got my 1866 and 1881 3 cent nickels and two 2013 ASE's in the mail today.

All in all a good coin day!

well hopefully the dime is worth something because I got skunked on the rest today:

The obverse looks plausible but at the reverse, all of the devices seem to end abruptly instead if tapering into the clip. I would also think the Blaksely effect would be greater. It looks like someone cut it on a band saw. I would think that a clip this large would not have gotten as much circulation as this coin appears to have. A picture of the edge might help.
