Nice ASE score! I want one of those for face, haha, I sold the only one I've ever owned, bought it for $19 back when silver was at $18/oz.

I am having a very meh day... with one decent find.

    Today's results:

    $6 Pennies: 90 copper, 2 Canadian, 1946P, 1953D, 1953S, 1956D.

    $20 Nickles: All 2012D.

    $20 Dimes: Skunk.

$250 Quarters: Skunk. Seeing Alaska, Hawaii, Oklahoma ATB more than the rest. ANybody saving certain ATBs?

    $12 Not-Ike dollars: Skunk.

Bank teller said I could order a box of half dollars. Sure, I I had a place to dump. It would be great if landlords and such accepted coins. Spending more than ten dollars or so at once they give you dirty looks.

4 more boxes of halves, the last box had 98 nifc halves, including an 87-D, and a 06-S.

No silver out of my last 14 boxes... by far my longest streak :(

  7. Some nice ones in the past couple weeks, 5 war nickels 43 P, (3) 44 P , & 45 S, Also 83 S Proof, & 3 Buffs, 1925, 1917 S & 'No Year' (gonna soak in vinegar). Also a bunch of pre 60's, probably around 50, Nickels are becoming my favorite. Can't seem to find unsearched rolls of halves...always get LOOMIS rolls and always get nothing, but they do not seem to search their nickels. :) 003.jpg

8 boxes today, 1 '41 WLH, AU coin, the nice surprise of the day. 1 '64, 6 40%. Meh... next week will hopefully be better, with more boxes too. I might have 6 boxes tomorrow, but I'm doubting it.

Box of Halves yesterday: 1980S proof
It filled a hole in my album

Got one more box of halves to search this week. I usually then search nickels but my pickup bank is continuing to order nickels for me and the last 10 boxes they have ordered for me have been all 2012 nickels. Reading the above posts, it doesn't look like I'm the only one.

Picked up my dimes last night. This was my first time going to this bank, and it definately will not be my last. They were happy to order me coins and said they will do it when ever I want. They will also start saving the halves and Ikes that they come across and call me when they come in. Here's my results from the $500 in dimes:

    Box 1- 2 roosies (51,60D), 3 Canadians (74, 76, 89)

Box 2- 1 roosie (62D), 1 Canadian (88), and a very strange 1967 penny that is the size of a dime. The rim is round and in an oblong shape (maybe filed off?) Looks like there is a cut mark on it too... Sorry no pics, don't have a working camera.

I still have yet to find my first merc or dime ender, very depressing...

Yesterday finds were pretty good for my book.
    Box 1 Halves - 3 x 40%
Box 2 Halves - 1 x 1964 and 2 x 40% - also 2 silver/chrome plated one that fooled me but it was too shiney, I should have known better
Over an ounce of silver right there is way above average for me and the 1964 was my first 90% half of the year.
    Box of dimes - Skunk

Here's a pic of my finds so far this week, picking up $1000 in halves today.

So like I am in the bank chatting it up with the tellers and buying up more rolled coin, ended up getting a box of cents and a box of nickels, but was in there for like 15 minutes talking about ancestors etc and then remembered doggy is in the car. Good thing I had gotten back so that all she had destroyed was a $1 bill that I had left in the centre console from buying a hot chocolate earlier. The remains were there on the seat, but Doggy of Destruction would not even look at me trying to take a picture of her and her handiwork. I know that about 40% of that dollar bill will be deposited later out in the backyard.

I'm certainly not having any luck with half dollars--did 1st box with kids last night...nada...second box tonight...so far i've searched $1,600 in halves to no avail. I did con my dad out of 14 silver quarters for 50 bucks...

And then notice my post above, you will search all those flipping halves and walk into your "dump" bank and guess what the teller has waiting for you? $4 in 40% halves. CRH can be frustrating, whole periods of doldrums between the exciting moments.

    $60 BWR/CWR nickels - 40-S, 42, 47-S, 50-D, 52-D, 58 and a 69 Canadian

When I get home today, I'll post a photo of the 50-D. It came from a BWR (clear Brinks) and is the second one I've found (I've been searching regularly since November 2011. So, I'm pretty stoked). Still need the 39-D and 44-S, though.

Halves are tough on me also right now. My first halves I ever searched were $80 CWR back a few weeks ago. I pulled 10 40% out of those rolls. Since then I've been through about $1800 mix of boxes and CWR and only found 1 40%. Picking up another box today. Wish I had the extra money to increase volume but I fish for a living, so I have to keep that money in the bank ready to go for gas/entry fees/lodging and so on.

I search my own coins, but am thinking of a little roll hunting. What's the best bang for your buck? I was thinking nickels, since some may be war nickels, and there are probably some buffaloes too.
