Just got a 1964 Roosevelt dime in the change from my work's Cafe...Nice find, considering it's worth $2.32 at today's silver prices...Nice!

Nice find! I've only found one silver dime in my change so far myself, a 1964-D.

Silver circulates enough that I find an approximate average of one dime in $100 worth of rolled dimes. In the past three weeks I have mined 25 of the little darlings out of circulation - today a '51-D.

I often am disheartened roll searching for silver. Silver quarter rolls are not
productive, and when I see something, it's Canadian! Once bought $500 of wrapped halves....nothing....but acquired a dime roll that looked manually wrapped and found two mint state dimes and a 57D last week...Yea!!!

I would avoid quarters at all cost. I searched through $2400 worth and found one. Lots of Canadians though. At least dimes can be mined profitably. I can find silver halves, but they are usually counter finds since halves are pretty scarce around here.

I always look, but rarely find any silver...

Did find an old Roosevelt a few years ago, and only found that because the change slipped out of my pocket and fell on the floor. It sounded "different"!!!

I keep finding silver quarters at a carwash I go to. It's been in business since I was a kid. I think the owner just dumps the quarters back in the change machine, and only deposits the bills in the bank. You might find luck in similar situations like this (old carwashes, old laundry mats, old coin operated businesses). Even though their equipment has been updated through the years, some of those old quarters are still floating. *This is CoinTalk silver-hunter top secret info... ssshhhhh... :smile - Good luck to everyone!

I had a bank manager share with me that any half rolls that come in are opened and inspected then rerolled personally. There are so many looking today except for people who don't know any better.
